font-weight: bold;\">Abstract:\u00a0<\/span>Work \u2013 life balance is becoming a very debated subject in the Romanian business context, especially in multinationals and large Romanian companies. This paper\u2019s main objective is to conduct a pilot study regarding work \u2013 life balance practices on human resource professionals from Romania. The study\u2019s main purpose is to validate a research questionnaire in order to conduct a more significant research in the future. Business established and developed by women are an important source of wealth and improved living standards in many countries. Even though women represent 46% of Europe&#8217;s working population, which means in theory that trend of this type entrepreneurship can only go upward, however entrepreneurship is still considered an activity for men. Entrepreneurship has an active role in employment, economic development and quality of life, constituting a dynamic part of any developed economy. Supporting women in their involvement in setting up new start-ups and small business and unlock their potential is an important part of government actions to foster entrepreneurial activities. Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) study found out that economies of Eastern European countries are in poor condition in terms of women&#8217;s participation in entrepreneurial activity. Romania is no exception. Complex supply chains make it more difficult for all actors involved to manage such a crisis. Companies in the food industry must respond now not only to the concerns of customers about the food safety, but also to their need for fresh and healthy products. Together with governments, to enforce regularly the legislation, customers affect the way food actors conduct their business, and can have a great impact on the food supply chain. In order to answer these needs, companies have to modify their supply chains and operate with more transparency, taking into account the demands for traceability. One of the main reasons that the funds are so important is the fact that, taking into consideration the microeconomic and macroeconomic situation that Romania is in, it represents an alternative financing mechanism of the economy that Romania can benefit in very advantageous conditions. Even under these conditions Romania- within 2007-2013 period of programming \u2013 couldn\u2019t benefit from it by attracting as many structural and cohesion funds as possible, at least in comparison to other member states. In our opinion, that of the authors\u2019 one of the reasons that led to such a low rate of absorption, alongside with the low administrative capacity of the state is the excessive bureaucracy , an inefficient legislative framework which is not harmonized with the European one, the lack of experience in using and administrating of European funds, the beneficiaries\u2019 incapacity to sustain the financial support of the project ( to assure the co-financing of the project), a low involvement of Romanian banking institutions in the process of supporting the beneficiaries of European funds. Another cause is the European funds fraud that happened in Romania. Moreover, with the help of the case study we will be able to identify what are the most efficient means of communication in an organization and also what the employees of a company think about every means of communication used inside the organization in which they work. The final purpose of the questionnaire used for the case study is to identify the role of internal communication within SC PROFI ROM FOOD SRL Company. The questionnaire is also trying to see which are the most efficient means of communication both between the employees of the same department and the means of communication between different departments.
